What is Sezzle?
Sezzle launched in 2016 as a buy-now-pay-later company targeting younger consumers who were skeptical of or ineligible for traditional credit products. The platform's pay-in-four model — splitting a purchase into four equal installments due every two weeks, with no interest if paid on time — became the standard BNPL structure, and Sezzle competed against Afterpay, Klarna, and Affirm in the rapidly growing category.
